Balm Dot Calm started with a straightforward idea: skincare should fit easily into real life, not add to it. Our small-batch lip and skin balms are crafted with clean, nourishing ingredients designed to soothe, protect, and restore.

From a Maine kitchen to your hands — one small-batch jar at a time.
For over a decade, this formula lived quietly in our kitchen, made with love for friends and family and refined through years of real-life use. What began as a simple, handcrafted creation has grown into a small women-owned, mother-daughter apothecary rooted in the slow, intentional rhythms of Maine.
Today, we blend our butters, waxes, and nourishing plant oils in small batches ~ stirring and pouring each jar by hand, just the way we always have. Infused oils, herbs, and calming botanicals are chosen for their purity and the way they work with your skin's natural moisture barrier.
Our formula is simple by design. Beeswax and shea butter create a breathable barrier that slows moisture loss. Plant oils supply a full range of essential fatty acids, while arnica and calendula offer gentle botanical comfort. Castor provides natural viscosity, grapeseed and sweet almond keep the texture light and quick-absorbing, and jojoba with rosehip add a smooth, silky glide. A soft blend of essential oils brings a calming aroma that never overwhelms.
